The Commissioning Engineer is responsible for planning, executing, and documenting the commissioning activities of industrial and pharmaceutical water systems to ensure they meet design intent, regulatory requirements, and client expectations. The role involves hands-on execution at site, coordination with cross-functional teams, and strict adherence to quality, safety, and compliance standards.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Execute commissioning activities for purified water, WFI, RO, EDI, softener, and distribution loop systems as per approved protocols and project timelines.
Review engineering documents such as P&IDs, layout drawings, URS, and specifications prior to commissioning.
Perform system checks, flushing, pressure testing, sanitization, and functional testing of water systems.
Prepare, execute, and compile commissioning checklists, reports, and handover documentation.
Coordinate with project, quality, validation, and construction teams to ensure smooth commissioning and issue resolution.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues during commissioning and start-up activities.
Ensure compliance with cGMP, cGDP, safety guidelines, and company SOPs at site.
Support client interactions during commissioning, performance testing, and system handover.
Assist in training operators and maintenance personnel on system operation and basic troubleshooting.
Maintain proper documentation and timely reporting of site activities and progress.
