Job Purpose

To execute commissioning, testing, troubleshooting and performance validation of mechanical systems/equipment at customer sites, ensuring safe operation, compliance to specifications and smooth handover to the customer.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and carry out pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for mechanical systems, machinery, or plant equipment. Review technical drawings, installation manuals, P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and OEM documentation. Verify mechanical system assembly, alignment, lubrication, piping connections, sealing arrangements, and equipment readiness. Conduct testing procedures, performance checks, load trials, and calibration of equipment as per standards. Identify and troubleshoot technical issues during installation and commissioning; coordinate with Engineering / Design teams for corrective actions. Ensure implementation of safety protocols, work permits, and hazard control measures at the site. Prepare commissioning reports, test certificates, and handover documentation. Train customer operators and maintenance personnel on system operation and routine maintenance. Coordinate with cross-functional internal teams, contractors, vendors, and clients for successful project execution. Support warranty service visits and corrective maintenance when required.

Required Technical Skills

Hands-on experience in installation and commissioning of mechanical systems such as pumps, compressors, blowers, heat exchangers, rotating equipment, piping systems, or industrial machinery. Knowledge of mechanical alignment methods, vibration checks, balancing, lubrication systems, and maintenance practices. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and engineering documentation. Familiarity with industrial safety standards and LOTO procedures. Basic understanding of electrical and instrumentation interfaces (advantageous).
