We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Commis to join our culinary team in the beautiful city of Udaipur, India. As a Commis, you will play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen operations and contributing to the creation of exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
Assist in mise en place activities, ensuring all ingredients and equipment are prepared for service
Prepare dishes according to established recipes and guidelines, maintaining consistency and quality
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to health and safety standards
Follow proper food storage procedures and comply with HACCP guidelines
Assist in inventory management and participate in monthly stock takes
Support senior kitchen staff in various tasks as assigned
Contribute to cross-departmental cooperation and maintain effective communication with all relevant areas
Demonstrate a willingness to learn new culinary techniques and recipes
Work efficiently and economically, minimizing waste and maximizing resources
Qualifications
Basic culinary skills and knowledge of kitchen operations
Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
Culinary diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
