to join our Italian kitchen team. The ideal candidate will assist in preparing and cooking authentic Italian dishes under the supervision of senior chefs, ensuring quality, consistency, and hygiene standards are met at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation, cooking, and plating of Italian dishes (pasta, pizza, antipasti, salads, sauces, etc.).
Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards as directed by the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.
Maintain mise-en-place for the assigned section before and during service.
Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients to maintain freshness.
Support senior chefs in daily kitchen operations and menu execution.
Uphold food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards in accordance with HACCP guidelines.
Assist with receiving, checking, and storing kitchen supplies and ingredients.
Report any maintenance issues or shortages promptly to the supervisor.
Learn and develop skills in authentic Italian cooking techniques.
Maintain a positive, respectful, and team-oriented attitude in the kitchen.
Requirements:
Diploma or certificate in Culinary Arts / Hotel Management.
1-3 years of experience as a Commis in a professional kitchen (Italian cuisine preferred).
Basic knowledge of Italian ingredients, sauces, and cooking methods.
Passion for cooking and eagerness to learn from senior chefs.
Strong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.
Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.
