Assist in preparing ingredients such as washing, peeling, chopping, cutting, and measuring.
Follow standard recipes and instructions provided by Commis II, Chef de Partie, or Sous Chef.
Assist with mise en place for assigned kitchen sections.
Cooking Assistance
Support senior cooks during service by performing basic cooking tasks.
Plate dishes under supervision, ensuring presentation standards are maintained.
Kitchen Operations
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations at all times.
Ensure proper storage and labeling of food items.
Assist in receiving, unpacking, and storing deliveries.
Follow FIFO and food safety regulations strictly.
Health, Safety & Hygiene
Comply with all food hygiene regulations and kitchen safety procedures.
Maintain personal cleanliness and wear required uniforms and protective gear.
Report any hazards, equipment malfunctions, or incidents to supervisors immediately.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.
Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment.
Understanding of hygiene standards (HACCP knowledge is an advantage).
Strong willingness to learn and grow within the culinary field.
Team player with good communication skills.
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Certificate in culinary arts is an advantage.
Previous experience as a Kitchen Helper or Apprentice is beneficial but not mandatory.
