We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Commis II specializing in Continental Cuisine to join our culinary team in Mysuru, India. As a Commis II, you will play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen operations and contributing to the creation of exceptional continental dishes.

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of continental cuisine dishes under the guidance of senior chefs
  • Execute food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients with precision
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food service
  • Assist in the proper storage and rotation of ingredients to minimize waste
  • Learn and apply new culinary techniques and recipes to expand your skillset
  • Participate in menu development and contribute creative ideas for new dishes
  • Support the kitchen team during service hours to ensure smooth operations
  • Assist in inventory management and restocking of supplies as needed
Qualifications
  • Culinary diploma or equivalent qualification in the culinary arts
  • 1-2 years of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably with a focus on continental cuisine
  • Strong knife skills and proficiency in various food preparation techniques
  • In-depth knowledge of continental cuisine, including recipes and cooking methods
  • Ability to operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Current food safety certification
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items when necessary
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new culinary trends and techniques
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages is a plus
