Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook authentic South Indian dishes including dosa, idli, vada, sambar, rasam, chutneys, etc.
Assist in daily kitchen operations, ensuring food is prepared to the highest standards of quality, hygiene, and presentation.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area as per food safety standards.
Ensure proper storage and labeling of ingredients and food items.
Work closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef in planning menus and kitchen inventory.
Monitor food stock and place orders when necessary.
Follow portion control guidelines and reduce food waste.
Requirements:
Minimum 4 to 5 years of experience as a South Indian cook or Commis in a reputed restaurant/hotel.
Expertise in cooking a wide range of South Indian vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Positive attitude, punctuality, and a team-oriented mindset.
