Assist senior chefs (CDP / DCDP) in preparing Italian dishes such as pasta, risotto, pizza, sauces, and antipasti.
Handle mise-en-place tasks including chopping, slicing, marinating, and preparing ingredients for the section.
Follow standard recipes, portion control, and plating guidelines for Italian dishes.
Support the kitchen team during service to ensure timely preparation of dishes.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of workstations, utensils, and equipment.
Store and label ingredients properly to prevent spoilage or contamination.
Report shortages, breakages, or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
Assist in inventory management and stock rotation under supervision.
Minimize food wastage through careful preparation and portioning.
Be flexible to assist other kitchen sections when required.
Follow all food safety and sanitation standards (HACCP).
Qualifications & Experience
Certificate / Diploma in Hotel Management or Culinary Arts preferred.
1 year
of experience in a professional kitchen; freshers with basic Italian culinary knowledge may be considered.
Basic understanding of Italian cuisine, ingredients, and cooking techniques.
Awareness of hygiene, food safety, and sanitation practices.
Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently under supervision.
Positive attitude, punctuality, and eagerness to learn.
Willingness to work in shifts, weekends, and during banquets or special events.
