Responsible for preparing and cooking authentic Indian dishes, ensuring quality, consistency, and presentation. Commis I supports the Chef de Partie and supervises junior staff to maintain smooth kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a wide range of Indian dishes (curries, tandoor, gravies).
Supervise and guide Commis II and kitchen helpers.
Ensure proper mise-en-place, portioning, and food presentation.
Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards.
Monitor ingredient quality and report shortages.
Requirements:
2-3 years of experience in Indian cuisine.
Strong knowledge of Indian spices and cooking methods.
Leadership and teamwork skills.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
