Key Responsibilities

Assist the DCDP/CDP in preparing and cooking Indian dishes such as curries, tandoor items, gravies, biryanis, and breads. Handle mise-en-place (cutting, chopping, marination, grinding, etc.) for the section as directed by seniors. Ensure all ingredients are properly prepared, stored, and labeled. Maintain portion control and ensure dishes are consistent with the hotel's recipes and presentation standards. Support senior chefs during service hours by ensuring timely preparation of dishes. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment. Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations (HACCP standards). Report any shortage or damage of ingredients, tools, or equipment to the supervisor. Follow standard recipes and cooking procedures as per Dandy Hotel's guidelines. Minimize wastage and ensure efficient use of ingredients. Assist in receiving and storing kitchen supplies properly. Work cooperatively with team members across kitchen sections to ensure smooth operations. Be flexible with shifts, events, banquets, and special menus as required.

Qualifications & Experience

Diploma / Certificate in Hotel Management or Culinary Arts. Minimum

1-2 years of experience

in a professional kitchen (preferably in Indian cuisine) in a 4?/5? hotel or reputed restaurant. Basic knowledge of Indian cooking, tandoor, spices, and gravies. Familiarity with food hygiene, kitchen sanitation, and safety procedures. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions accurately. Team-oriented with good discipline and a positive attitude. Willingness to learn and grow within the culinary department.
