We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Commis I specializing in Asian Cuisine to join our culinary team in Mysuru, India. As a Commis I, you will play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen operations and contributing to the preparation of authentic Asian dishes.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients for Asian cuisine, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables and meats
Follow recipes and instructions from senior chefs to prepare basic components of Asian dishes
Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food preparation
Assist in the proper storage and labeling of ingredients and prepared foods
Learn and apply various Asian cooking techniques under the guidance of experienced chefs
Contribute to the overall cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
Assist with inventory management and stock rotation as directed
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; culinary school diploma or certificate preferred
Basic knife skills and knowledge of Asian cuisine techniques and ingredients
Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices; food safety certification (e.g., ServSafe) preferred
Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
Strong time management skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
