Department: Operations Duration: Full Time Experience: 2 years in Hospitality Job Brief: Commis Chef will play a vital role in the kitchen, assisting in the preparation and cooking of a diverse range of dishes under the supervision of Head chef. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about culinary arts and eager to develop their skills in a dynamic kitchen environment. Key Responsibilities: ? Operate kitchen equipment, including braising pans, baking ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers ? Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in your assigned work area ? Prepare ingredients for cooking by portioning, chopping, and storing food appropriately ? Follow recipes and yield guides meticulously to prepare all menu items ? Cook food according to established recipes, quality, and presentation standards, as well as the food preparation checklist ? Prepare, season, and cook a variety of dishes including vegetables, soups, and breakfast items ? Use various cooking methods to slice, grind, and cook vegetables ? Wash, peel, weigh, measure, and mix ingredients accurately ? Set up your station with the appropriate par stocks of menu items and prepare dishes as assigned ? Check supplies and prep lists to ensure timely preparation of all items ? Replenish service lines as needed and restock your workstation for the next shift ? Ensure proper storage of all products in designated locations at appropriate levels ? Inform the Chef of any excess food items for consideration in daily specials ? Uphold hygienic conditions in your work area according to hotel standards ? Communicate any assistance required during busy periods and report incidents to the Head Chef to ensure optimal guest service ? Accept store deliveries and ensure proper mise-en-place is prepared Qualifications: ? Hospitality graduate or diploma in hospitality ? 2 years of experience in F&B Productions ? Strong operational knowledge of hotel operations ? Outstanding time-management skills ? Flexible location preference
