Assist in preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes under the supervision of senior chefs.
Follow recipes, portion control, and presentation standards.
Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation of dishes.
Assist with basic cooking tasks such as chopping, peeling, marinating, and mixing.
Support Demi Chef de Partie and Chef de Partie in daily kitchen operations.
Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation at all times.
Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines (HACCP standards if applicable).
Store ingredients properly and monitor stock freshness.
Assist in receiving, checking, and storing deliveries.
Report shortages of ingredients or equipment to supervisors.
Minimize food wastage through proper portioning and storage.
Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
Be open to training and learning new skills from senior chefs.
Take instructions and feedback positively to improve performance.
Prepare mise en place (ingredients, sauces, garnishes) before service.
Support in maintaining kitchen equipment in proper working condition.
Ensure timely preparation of food orders as per service requirements.
