Commis II & Commis III are responsible for assisting the Chef De Partie in food preparation, maintaining hygiene, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations as per the company's culinary standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing dishes according to recipes and chef's instructions.
Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen area.
Ensure all ingredients are properly stored, labeled, and rotated (FIFO method).
Follow portion control standards and minimize food wastage.
Support senior chefs during peak hours and food service times.
Assist in basic food cutting, marination, and mise-en-place activities.
Handle kitchen tools and equipment safely.
Ensure adherence to food safety and quality standards.
Requirements:
Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a similar role (hotel/restaurant/airport catering preferred).
Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food hygiene practices.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work under pressure and during extended hours if required.
Passion for the culinary field and willingness to learn.
Salary:
Up to ₹18,000 per month (based on experience)
