YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES



Food Preparation & Mise-en-place:

Assist in preparing ingredients, portioning, chopping, and creating pastry doughs, batters, or savory bases to precise specifications.

Cooking & Plating:

Support senior chefs in cooking and presentation of dishes, ensuring every plate--from desserts to savory mains--is visually appealing and meets brand standards.

Kitchen Organization:

Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workstation with all necessary ingredients and tools.

Consistency & Quality:

Strictly follow recipes and culinary instructions to produce consistent, high-quality results.

Sanitation & Safety:

Maintain the highest levels of hygiene and food safety standards to ensure a safe working environment.

Collaboration:

Provide active support to the team during high-demand periods and assist other departments when required.

Continuous Learning:

Proactively learn new techniques, recipes, and methods to grow your expertise within the Hunger Inc. family.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE



Experience:

0-4 years in a kitchen environment. Experience in either pastry or savory is highly valued, specifically for Bombay Sweet Shop.

Education:

High school diploma or a formal certification in Culinary Arts.

Technical Skills:

Basic knife skills, knowledge of food prep techniques, and/or basic pastry skills (working with doughs, creams, etc.).

Communication:

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Resilience:

Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, dynamic kitchen setting.
