The Commi supports the kitchen and beverage team in the daily operations of the coffee shop. The role involves assisting in food preparation, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards, supporting baristas and cooks, and ensuring smooth service during operating hours.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in basic food preparation such as cutting, assembling, and plating as per standard recipes
Support baristas and kitchen staff during peak hours
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, prep area, equipment, and utensils
Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times
Assist in receiving, storing, and organizing raw materials and supplies
Ensure proper waste disposal and cleanliness of workstations
Follow instructions from supervisors and senior kitchen staff
Adhere to company policies, SOPs, and safety guidelines
Support opening and closing duties of the coffee shop
Requirements & Qualifications
Minimum qualification: 10th / 12th pass preferred
Prior experience in a cafe, coffee shop, or food outlet is an advantage
Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene and food handling
Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays
Physically fit and able to stand for long hours
Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment
