Job Title: Commis (F&B - Multiplex Theatre)

The Commis is responsible for supporting the kitchen team in daily operations, ensuring food preparation, hygiene, and service standards are maintained as per company requirements. This role focuses on basic food production, assisting senior chefs, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring smooth and timely service during show times.

Key Responsibilities

1. Food Preparation & Production

Assist in basic food preparation such as chopping, assembling, frying, grilling, etc.

Prepare items like popcorn, nachos, fries, beverages, and other menu items as per standards.

Follow recipes, portion control, and presentation guidelines.

Assist Commis II, Commis I, and Chef in preparing bulk orders during peak show hours.

2. Service Support

Ensure timely preparation of food orders for counters.

Refill food items, beverages, and condiments as required.

Maintain readiness during peak crowd times and intervals.

3. Hygiene & Safety

Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and storage areas.

Follow all food safety, FSSAI, and hygiene standards.

Ensure proper storage, labelling, and rotation of food (FIFO).

Handle kitchen equipment safely and report any faults immediately.

4. Inventory & Stock Handling

Assist in receiving and stocking raw materials.

Check expiry dates, product quality, and report discrepancies.

Ensure minimal wastage and follow proper portioning.

5. Team Coordination

Support the kitchen team and coordinate with service staff for smooth operations.

Maintain discipline, grooming, and a positive work attitude.

Skills & Qualifications

Basic culinary knowledge; experience in QSR, cafe, or cinema F&B preferred.

Understanding of hygiene and food safety practices.

Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.

Good teamwork and communication skills.

Willingness to work flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
