Act as the point of coordination for the kitchen, barista, and pastry teams to ensure smooth daily service.
Monitor and maintain adherence to cafe-wide SOPs including food preparation, service, cleanliness, and safety standards.
Conduct regular checks and support each department with their specific operational needs (e.g., ingredient stock for baristas, prep schedules for pastry).
Ensure each station (kitchen, coffee bar, pastry section) is well-equipped and ready for service at all times.
Troubleshoot and escalate operational issues
Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
Coordinate with the
barista team
to ensure alignment on beverage and food pairings, timely order fulfillment, and special promotions.
Work closely with the
pastry team
to understand production timelines and display requirements.
Serve as a liaison between departments to ensure communication and task execution align with cafe goals.
Compliance & Standards:
Enforce hygiene, sanitation, and food safety procedures across all operational areas.
Keep accurate records as required by SOPs (temperature logs, cleaning schedules, prep lists).
Help train junior staff and support a culture of teamwork and accountability.
Preferred Qualifications:
Culinary diploma or certification
Basic barista or pastry knowledge
