We are looking for a Commis Chef to join our hotel kitchen team (Hot Kitchen) specializing in Kerala cuisine. The candidate will assist senior chefs in food preparation, maintain hygiene standards, and support smooth kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities
Assist Executive Chef and other senior chefs in daily kitchen operations
Prepare ingredients such as cleaning, cutting, and marination
Follow recipes and instructions given by senior chefs
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, workstations, and equipment
Ensure proper storage, labelling, and stock rotation
Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times
Assist during peak service hours to ensure timely food preparation
Support team members for smooth kitchen workflow
Requirements
Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and Kerala cuisine preferred
Willingness to learn and grow in the kitchen
Ability to work under pressure and in shifts
Good attitude and team-working skills
Knowledge of hygiene and safety standards
Experience
1 year of experience preferred
