THE ROLE
You're the skilled hands on the line. Cooking, assembling, plating--you execute service alongside the Jr. Sous Chef. You'll handle the hot station and support complex prep. Clear path to grow into a senior role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Execute cooking during service--frying, grilling, tempura
Cook rice to spec (sushi-style, seasoned)
Assemble onigiri and sides during service
Handle complex prep--marinades, sauces, pickles
Maintain station cleanliness throughout shift
Support pop-up events
Follow food safety protocols
REQUIREMENTS
0-2 years kitchen experience
Comfortable with frying, grilling, sauteing
Can work fast and clean under pressure
Reliable and punctual
Willingness to learn Japanese techniques
NICE TO HAVE
Experience with rice-based dishes or Asian cuisine
Culinary training
