We are seeking a talented and creative Menu Engineer and Recipe Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing our menu offerings, enhancing existing recipes, and creating new and exciting culinary creations. This role requires a strong understanding of food trends, menu engineering principles, and a passion for creating exceptional dishes.
Responsibilities:
Analyze and evaluate our current menu offerings to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
Develop and implement strategies to enhance the flavor, presentation, and nutritional value of existing recipes.
Research and stay updated on food trends, market demands, and customer preferences to inform menu development.
Collaborate with our culinary team to create new and innovative recipes that align with our brand and customer preferences.
Conduct recipe testing and refinement to ensure consistency, quality, and taste.
Work closely with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients that meet our standards of freshness and sustainability.
Provide guidance and training to kitchen staff on recipe execution and culinary techniques.
Continuously monitor and evaluate menu performance, gather feedback from customers, and make data-driven decisions to optimize menu offerings.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Food Science, or a related field.
Proven experience in menu engineering, recipe development, and culinary innovation, preferably in the food service or hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of food trends, flavor profiles, and culinary techniques.
Creative mindset with the ability to conceptualize and develop unique and innovative recipes.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Passion for food and a genuine enthusiasm for creating exceptional dining experiences.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
