Job Description

We are looking for enthusiastic and hardworking

Commis Chefs

to join our culinary team across multiple sections -- Indian, Chinese, Continental, and Bakery. The ideal candidates will assist in daily food preparation and maintain high standards of hygiene and kitchen practices.

Key Responsibilities:



Assist in the preparation and cooking of food as per the assigned section. Follow standard recipes and instructions given by Chef de Partie or Sous Chef. Ensure ingredients are fresh and properly stored. Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen equipment. Practice proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures. Prepare mise en place for smooth kitchen operations. Support in plating and garnishing dishes as required. Handle basic kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Assist with receiving and storing supplies. Report any equipment malfunction or shortage to supervisors. Maintain personal hygiene and grooming as per hotel standards.

Requirements:



1 years of relevant experience (varies by Commi I, II, or III). Specialization or experience in one or more cuisines:

Indian:

Tandoor, Curry, South/North Indian dishes

Chinese:

Wok, Dim Sum, Sauces, Soups

Continental:

Salads, Pasta, Grills, Appetizers

Bakery & Confectionery:

Breads, Cakes, Pastries, Desserts Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and hygiene standards. Willingness to learn and take direction from senior chefs. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Flexible with shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:



Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts or Hotel Management. Previous experience in a hotel, resort, QSR, or cloud kitchen setup. Familiarity with HACCP or food safety regulations.
