We are looking for a dedicated and disciplined Commi Chef to join our In-Patient Department kitchen team. The role involves preparing nutritious, hygienic, and diet-specific meals for hospital patients as per dietician instructions and hospital food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare meals for in-patients according to prescribed diet charts (normal, diabetic, low-salt, soft, liquid, etc.)
Assist senior chefs in daily kitchen operations
Maintain strict hygiene and sanitation standards as per hospital protocols
Ensure food is cooked, portioned, and served on time
Follow HACCP / FSSAI / hospital safety guidelines
Handle food storage, labeling, and FIFO practices correctly
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and utensils
Coordinate with dieticians and nursing staff when required
Minimize food wastage and maintain quality consistency
Candidate Requirements:
Minimum 1-2 years of kitchen experience (hospital, hotel, or institutional kitchen preferred)
Basic knowledge of therapeutic diets is an advantage
Understanding of food hygiene and safety standards
Ability to work in rotational shifts
Physically fit and able to work in a disciplined hospital environment
Team player with a caring and responsible attitude
Preferred Qualifications:
Certificate/Diploma in Food Production or Culinary Arts
Experience in hospital, healthcare, or institutional kitchens
Knowledge of diet cooking for patients (added advantage)
