About the Job Role:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled
Commis Chef
with prior experience in InterContinental or similar international hospitality environments. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a disciplined approach to kitchen operations, and a deep commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Specific Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes according to brand standards and assigned section.
Deliver consistent quality across all food items, maintaining precision in taste, texture, and presentation.
Follow all recipes, plating guidelines, and SOPs
Ensure workstations are clean, organized, and well-stocked throughout service.
Collaborate closely with the culinary team to ensure smooth, timely, and efficient service, especially during peak hours.
Handle guest complaints or concerns professionally and proactively.
Communicate any product shortages, equipment issues, or operational concerns to senior chefs promptly.
Contribute creative ideas when requested and show willingness to learn.
Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
1-3 years
of experience as a Commis Chef (experience in InterContinental or similar international hotel chains is strongly preferred).
Formal culinary education or equivalent professional training.
Strong knowledge of global cuisines and modern culinary techniques.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
Strong commitment to hygiene, precision, and consistency.
Passion for growth and willingness to learn in a new, dynamic property.
