is responsible for preparing, producing, and presenting high-quality desserts, pastries, and confectionery items. This role supports the Pastry Chef and ensures consistency, creativity, and compliance with food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and produce a variety of desserts, pastries, cakes, and confectionery items according to recipes and standards.
Assist in creating new dessert concepts and seasonal offerings.
Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry section and equipment.
Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures at all times.
Assist the Pastry Chef with daily operations and planning.
Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages to the Pastry Chef or Sous Chef.
Maintain high presentation standards for all plated and buffet desserts.
Support training and guidance of junior pastry staff when required.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Pastry Chef or Executive Chef.
Qualifications
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in pastry, bakery, or confectionery roles.
Professional culinary or pastry training preferred.
Strong knowledge of dessert production, baking techniques, and pastry tools/equipment.
Creativity and attention to detail with a passion for desserts.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Excellent teamwork, communication, and time management skills.
Schedule
Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
Full-time position with rotating shifts.
