Position Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and passionate

Commis 1 - Continental Cuisine

to join our kitchen brigade. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in preparing continental dishes, demonstrate high attention to detail, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining top-notch food quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparation & Cooking

Prepare ingredients and cook a variety of continental dishes (pastas, grills, salads, sauces, etc.) Follow standardized recipes and plating guidelines as directed by the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef Ensure consistency in taste, portion size, and food presentation

Kitchen Operations

Assist in daily mise en place and maintain hygiene and cleanliness in assigned sections Operate kitchen equipment safely and ensure it's well-maintained Coordinate with kitchen and service teams for smooth order flow and timely delivery

Quality & Standards

Monitor freshness and quality of ingredients; promptly report any shortages or spoilage Uphold Epic Poetry Cafe's commitment to quality, creativity, and guest satisfaction Strictly follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation protocols

Requirements:

? Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Commis in a continental kitchen ? Strong understanding of continental cuisines, ingredients, and cooking methods ? Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a team-oriented environment ? Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards ? Passion for food, a positive attitude, and eagerness to grow and learn ?

Tamil-speaking candidates are preferred
