Job Summary:
The Commis Chef assists senior kitchen staff in daily food preparation and kitchen operations. The role involves basic cooking, maintaining hygiene standards, and supporting the team to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen functioning.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist senior chefs in food preparation and cooking
Prepare basic ingredients such as vegetables, gravies, and marinades
Support in the preparation of Indian dishes (veg and non-veg)
Maintain kitchen cleanliness and follow food safety standards
Store and handle raw materials properly
Use kitchen equipment safely and responsibly
Follow daily opening and closing kitchen duties
Help reduce food wastage and maintain quality standards
Skills & Requirements:
Basic knowledge of cooking techniques
Understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Team player with a positive attitude
Willingness to learn and take instructions
Freshers or candidates with 1-2 years of experience can apply
