The Commie 1 (Italian Cuisine) is responsible for assisting in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of authentic Italian dishes such as pasta, risotto, pizzas, sauces, and desserts. He ensures food quality and consistency, follows recipes and kitchen procedures, maintains hygiene standards, and supports senior chefs in the smooth and efficient running of the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure proper presentation and garnishing of dishes before service.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen at all times.
Handle and store food items correctly to minimize waste and preserve freshness.
Assist senior chefs in menu preparation and daily kitchen operations.
Support a teamwork-driven kitchen environment with a positive and professional attitude.
Requirements:
Previous experience as Commie 1 or Commie Chef, preferably in Italian or Mediterranean cuisine.
Knowledge of Italian cooking techniques, ingredients, and presentation.
Basic knife handling and food preparation skills.
Passion for Italian food and willingness to learn.
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Culinary diploma or equivalent qualification is an advantage.
