We are looking for a skilled Commis II who can support both Indian and Chinese kitchen operations. The candidate should be capable of handling basic preparations and assisting senior chefs during service.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in preparation and cooking of Indian curries, gravies, tandoor basics, and Chinese wok/stir-fry items.
Handle mise-en-place for both sections as instructed by Commis I / CDP.
Maintain consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation.
Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and safety in the kitchen at all times.
Support Commis I and DCDP during peak operations.
Properly store ingredients and follow FIFO/HACCP guidelines.
Assist in both a la carte and banquet operations.
Learn and upgrade skills under the guidance of senior chefs.
Requirements
Experience: 1-2 years in Indian or Chinese kitchens (hotel/restaurant).
Basic knowledge of Indian gravies, rice, breads & Chinese sauces, noodles, and prep work.
Ability to handle pressure and work in fast-paced operations.
Good teamwork, discipline, and hygiene practices.
