Assist in the preparation and cooking of Chinese dishes (e.g., stir-fry, dim sum, soups, noodles, fried rice, etc.).
Follow standard recipes and presentation guidelines to maintain consistency.
Ensure mise-en-place is prepared and organized before service time.
Assist in receiving and proper storage of ingredients specific to Chinese cuisine.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the workstation as per HACCP standards.
Ensure the proper use and care of kitchen equipment used in Chinese cooking (e.g., wok burners, steamers, knives).
Follow instructions from Chef de Partie or Sous Chef regarding food preparation and service.
Minimize food wastage through proper portion control and handling.
Report any equipment malfunction or food safety concern to supervisors immediately.
Cooperate with other sections of the kitchen and support teamwork.
