Job Summary:
Commis I to assist senior chef in food preparation and cooking. Responsible for maintaining high standards of hygiene, organization, and food quality in their assigned section.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and standards.
Assist the Chef in daily kitchen operations.
Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and available for service.
Maintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen area.
Follow proper food safety and hygiene practices.
Help with mise en place (food prep) for the next shift.
Work as part of a team to ensure timely and quality food service.
Report any maintenance or safety issues to supervisors.
Requirements:
Basic culinary training or diploma preferred.
2+years of continental experience in a similar role.
Good knowledge of kitchen operations and food hygiene.
Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
