Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Commi Chef to join our kitchen operations. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in large-scale food production, menu planning, inventory control, and team supervision. This role requires maintaining high standards of hygiene, taste, and consistency in all food prepared.

Key Responsibilities

Food Preparation:

Assist in the daily preparation and cooking of food items, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and handled correctly. This includes washing, peeling, chopping, and cutting raw materials.

Station Management:

Learn and work across various kitchen stations (e.g., larder, pastry, grill), maintaining cleanliness and organisation at all times.

Adherence to Standards:

Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the Head Chef to ensure consistency and quality.

Health & Safety:

Comply with all sanitation regulations and safety standards, including HACCP guidelines, to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.

Stock Management:

Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, as well as monitoring stock levels and reporting any shortages.

Team Collaboration:

Work effectively with all members of the kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service.
Qualifications & Skills

Experience:

Previous experience as a Commis Chef or a kitchen assistant is preferred, but we welcome ambitious newcomers with a formal culinary education.

Education:

A diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or a related field is a strong advantage.

Knowledge:

Basic understanding of professional cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.

Passion:

A genuine passion for food, cooking, and the hospitality industry.

Attributes:

Strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. High level of attention to detail and personal hygiene. Willingness to learn and take direction.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
