Job Title: Commi Chef
Reports to: Senior Chef/Head Chef
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Commi Chef to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will assist in food preparation, presentation, and plating, while maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene, and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items to the highest standards
- Assist Senior Chefs in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment
- Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation guidelines
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless service
- Maintain accurate records of food production, waste, and inventory
- Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and quality control standards
Requirements:
- Diploma/Certificate in Culinary Arts or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen operations
- Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
- Familiarity with food safety and hygiene regulations
