We are looking for a skilled and passionate Chef to join our team at Turf Cafe. The Chef will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining kitchen hygiene, managing food inventory, and ensuring customer satisfaction through excellent food presentation and taste.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
Plan and develop new menu items and seasonal specials.
Ensure proper food hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards in the kitchen.
Supervise and train kitchen staff on cooking techniques and portion control.
Monitor food stock, control wastage, and manage inventory efficiently.
Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of all dishes.
Collaborate with management to control food costs and meet profitability targets.
Handle customer feedback and make improvements as required.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Chef in a cafe/restaurant.
Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Leadership and team management skills.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Culinary degree or equivalent certification (preferred).
