Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Commi I - South Indian Cuisine to join our kitchen brigade. The ideal candidate should have expertise in preparing authentic South Indian dishes, consistency in taste, and a passion for traditional cooking with modern presentation.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a wide variety of South Indian dishes (Idli, Dosa, Vada, Sambhar, Uttapam, Chutneys, etc.).
Maintain quality, consistency, and authentic taste in all preparations.
Ensure proper hygiene, cleanliness, and compliance with food safety standards.
Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in daily operations and menu innovations.
Monitor portion control and minimize wastage.
Maintain kitchen equipment and ensure timely reporting of maintenance needs.
Train and guide junior kitchen staff when required.
Requirements
Proven experience as Commi I / Cook specializing in South Indian cuisine.
Strong knowledge of authentic recipes, spices, and cooking techniques.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality.
Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
Team player with good communication and time management skills.
Flexibility to work in shifts as per operational requirements.
