Key Responsibilities:
Prepare ingredients and cook dishes as per the menu and chef's instructions.
Ensure all food is prepared, cooked, and presented to company standards.
Assist in menu planning, stock management, and kitchen organization.
Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards in the kitchen.
Support and guide junior kitchen staff (Commis 2, Commis 3).
Follow portion control and minimize wastage.
Handle equipment and ingredients responsibly.
Ensure timely preparation and smooth operation during service.
Requirements:
Proven experience as
Commis 1
or in a similar role in a professional kitchen.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety regulations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Team player with good communication skills.
Flexibility to work in rotational shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Education & Experience:
Diploma/Certification in Culinary Arts or equivalent preferred.
Minimum 2-3 years of relevant kitchen experience.
