The Commis III is responsible for assisting in the daily kitchen operations, preparing ingredients, and maintaining hygiene and cleanliness standards. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic individual looking to gain hands-on kitchen experience and grow within the culinary field.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and cooking of food items under the supervision of senior chefs.
Perform basic tasks such as washing, peeling, cutting vegetables, and portioning ingredients.
Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the kitchen.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and workstations.
Assist with receiving, unpacking, and storing food supplies.
Follow all hygiene and food safety standards (HACCP guidelines).
Support other kitchen sections as needed during busy periods.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Requirements:
Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques.
High school diploma or culinary certificate preferred.
Previous kitchen experience (internship or trainee level) is an advantage, but not required.
Willingness to learn and take direction.
Good team spirit and positive attitude.
Physically fit and able to work long hours on your feet.
Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.
