Commercial Procurement Officer

to manage and optimize procurement operations, with a strong emphasis on

costing, quotations, feasibility studies

, and

supplier negotiations

. The role involves commercial evaluation of supplier offers, contract handling, and alignment with budgeting and business objectives across the supply chain.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Issue RFQs/RFPs and evaluate vendor offers based on commercial terms Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and service levels Finalize purchase orders and contracts in line with company policies and budgets Coordinate with finance, planning, and operations for procurement alignment Analyze quotations for detailed cost breakdowns and value for money Conduct commercial feasibility checks on supplier proposals Prepare cost comparison reports for informed decision-making Manage vendor onboarding and conduct performance evaluations Draft, review, and manage procurement contracts ensuring compliance Monitor contract execution and resolve commercial issues or disputes Ensure timely procurement and delivery of goods and services Identify cost-saving opportunities and support supplier development Track market trends for pricing, availability, and risk factors Maintain accurate procurement documentation and records Ensure compliance with procurement policies, audits, and legal requirements

Key Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Commerce, Finance, or a related field 3-6 years of experience in procurement or commercial sourcing Strong knowledge of procurement processes, commercial contracts, and vendor negotiation Proficiency in cost analysis and preparing comparative statements Familiarity with ERP or procurement systems Good analytical and communication skills; detail-oriented and organized

Preferred Skills:

Experience in a structured procurement environment (manufacturing, services, EPC, FMCG, etc.) Exposure to contract law and procurement compliance Certification in procurement/supply chain (CIPS, CPSM, etc.) is an advantage
