Summary

We are seeking a skilled and passionate CFD developer with expertise in gas turbine combustion modeling with coding experience in High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments. Role will involve developing, implementing and validating advanced numerical models to simulate complex combustion systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and global users to resolve technical challenges in combustion and aerodynamics simulations.

Roles and Responsibilities



Work closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to understand combustor design requirements and identify gaps in existing modeling methods. Develop, implement and validate advanced computational models for combustion processes. Design, develop, and maintain software tools for CFD analysis (pre-processing, solver, post-processing). Drive effective integration of software into design workflows, in collaboration with design community. Support the development of technical documentation and training materials. Conduct research on emerging trends in computational combustion and advanced simulation techniques. Present findings and technical reports to internal teams and external stakeholders.

Required Qualifications



Ph.D. or Master's with 3+ years of experience in Mechanical, Aerospace or related disciplines. In-depth understanding of physical process involved in at least one of the following areas: Computation Fluid Dynamics (CFD), aerodynamics, combustion, spray modeling. Proficiency in languages such as Python, C++ & related tools. Strong problem-solving skills, self-learning abilities and shown track record of technical excellence Ability to work in a cross-functional environment with strong communication and presentation skills Be flexible and adapt to work on critical priorities as per business need.

Desired Characteristics



Well established track record of model development in the field of combustion & spray. Exposure to higher order computational combustion codes (pre-processing, solver & post-processing). Exposure to GPU programming & code optimization techniques Experience of using machine learning methods Ability to collaborate and co-ordinate tasks involving global team members Hands on experience in using commercial CFD codes.
