R&D - Color Technologist required with Experience:

5-7 years. Preferred Industry - Powder Coating Powder Manufacturing

Qualifications:

B.Sc./M.Sc. in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Color Technology, or related field. 5-7 years of experience in paint/powder coating formulation.

Job Summary:

The R&D Color Technologist will be responsible for developing, formulating, and optimizing powder coating colors and paint recipes. The role involves working closely with the production and quality teams to ensure accurate color matching, consistent product performance, and innovation in color solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and formulate new powder coating paint recipes and color shades. Work on color matching, pigment selection, and shade correction for customer requirements. Conduct laboratory trials and scale-up activities for new formulations. Optimize existing formulations to improve performance, cost, and quality. Maintain and update formulation data, test reports, and technical documentation. Collaborate with production teams to ensure smooth transfer of formulations to the shop floor. Analyze raw materials, pigments, and additives for suitability in formulations. Support customer trials, technical queries, and color performance evaluations. Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal quality guidelines.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of

. Expertise in

color technology

, pigment behavior, and recipe design. Hands-on experience with lab equipment such as mixers, extruders, colorimeters, spectrophotometers, etc. Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and manage multiple development projects.
