JOB DESCRIPTIONWe are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Collections Agents to join our team in Chennai. The ideal candidate is a fresher or someone with up to 1 year of experience in finance or lending operations, with strong communication skills in English and the local vernacular (Tamil preferred). This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial collections, customer negotiation, and recovery.Role Expectations:- Reach out to customers with overdue payments via phone, email, and WhatsApp- Explain outstanding amounts, resolve queries, and persuade customers to pay- Negotiate repayment plans and follow up to ensure timely collections- Update daily records and maintain Excel / CRM entries accurately- Escalate delinquent cases as per internal protocols- Maintain professional conduct while handling sensitive financial dataQualifications:- Graduate/Postgraduate in Commerce, Finance, or related field (M.Com/MBA preferred)- 0-1 year of experience in collections, finance operations, or related internships- Strong verbal communication in English and Tamil (any additional South Indian language is a plus)- Ability to handle difficult conversations and negotiate confidentlyFamiliarity with Excel, Google Sheets, or basic CRM tools- Willingness to work from the office (Chennai-based role) (ref:updazz.com)
