Required Qualifications

Master's degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Parasitology, or related field

Minimum 1-2 years of hands-on experience working with Leishmania parasites

Demonstrated expertise in Leishmania cultivation, maintenance, and parasite handling protocols

Strong background in molecular biology and parasitology techniques Experience with axenic culture methods and parasite viability assays Knowledge of OMICS technologies and data analysis pipelines Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Essential Experience Requirements

Direct laboratory experience with Leishmania species (L. major, L. donovani, or L. infantum)

Proficiency in promastigote and amastigote culture techniques

Experience with Leishmania differentiation assays and stage-specific markers

Knowledge of parasite infectivity studies and host-parasite interactions

Familiarity with biosafety protocols for working with infectious agents
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with multiple Leishmania species and strains Hands-on experience with next-generation sequencing technologies applied to parasites Familiarity with proteomics and metabolomics workflows for parasitic organisms Experience with data visualization and scientific writing in parasitology Knowledge of pathway analysis and systems biology approaches in parasite research Previous work on parasite differentiation or development studies Experience with macrophage infection models
What We Offer

Competitive monthly salary of ?31,000 plus House Rent Allowance Opportunity to work on cutting-edge Leishmania research with international recognition Access to state-of-the-art parasitology laboratory facilities and BSL-2 containment Professional development and specialized training in advanced OMICS technologies Collaborative research environment with leading parasitologists and systems biologists Potential for co-authorship in high-impact parasitology and infectious disease journals Career advancement opportunities within established parasitology research programs
