The Cold Storage Supervisor is responsible for managing all activities within the cold storage facility, including daily blast freezing, packing of finished products, and inventory management. This role requires ensuring the efficient operation of cold storage machinery (e.g., chiller room, blast freezer, ante room), maintaining accurate records, and coordinating dispatches in line with stuffing orders.
Key Responsibilities:
Cold Storage Operations:
Supervise and oversee the daily operations of the cold storage facility.
Ensure the proper functioning of machinery, including the chiller room, blast freezer, cold storage, and ante room.
Maintain optimal temperature settings to preserve the quality and safety of stored products.
Conduct routine checks and maintenance of cold storage equipment to prevent downtime.
Blast Freezing and Packing:
Coordinate daily blast freezing operations to meet production schedules.
Supervise the packing of finished products or cartons in compliance with quality standards.
Ensure the correct labeling and sealing of cartons to avoid errors during dispatch.
Inventory Management:
Receive and verify incoming inventory, ensuring alignment with procurement records.
Monitor and manage stock levels, including raw materials and finished products, within the cold storage facility.
Record and maintain accurate inventory data, including receipts, dispatches, and stock movements.
Ensure stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) to prevent spoilage or obsolescence.
Dispatch and Logistics:
Plan and execute inventory dispatches based on stuffing orders.
Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely loading and dispatch of products.
Prepare and verify dispatch documentation, including invoices and packing lists.
Record Keeping and Compliance:
Maintain detailed records of inventory movements, equipment usage, and maintenance schedules.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
Implement corrective actions in case of non-conformities.
Team Coordination:
Supervise and guide staff involved in storage, packing, and dispatch operations.
Provide training on cold storage procedures, equipment handling, and safety protocols.

Qualifications and Skills:
Education:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
Experience:

Skills Required:
Strong knowledge of cold storage operations and equipment handling.
Proficiency in inventory management systems and record-keeping tools.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong leadership and communication abilities.
Proficiency in ERP software
Knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, ISO, etc.).
