Cold Room Installation & Project Specialist

We're building a next-gen urban farming setup, and we need someone who lives and breathes cold rooms. You'll own the full setup of our first cold-storage environment--from vendor coordination to on-site installation to making sure the thing actually performs in the real world.



If you're the person who can walk into an empty room and instantly know the insulation spec is wrong, the compressor is undersized, or the airflow will choke--this job is written for you.


What You'll Do



Lead end-to-end installation of a commercial cold room (small-footprint, high-performance).

Own on-site execution: layout, insulation, structural prep, refrigeration unit installation, electrical integration.

Coordinate directly with OEMs, suppliers, contractors, and service technicians.

Validate all technical drawings, BOQs, materials, and component choices.

Run quality checks on insulation, sealing, refrigeration cycle, and temperature stability.

Troubleshoot real-world failures--refrigeration, electrical, condensation, vibration, airflow.

Ensure compliance with food-safe, electrical, and building standards.

Maintain installation timelines and handle day-to-day vendor pushback (without drama).

Conduct handover testing: pull-down tests, load tests, thermal leakage checks.

Build a maintenance schedule for long-term reliability.



Who You Are

5-15 years hands-on experience in cold room installation, refrigeration, or industrial HVAC.



Deep practical knowledge of:

PU panels, insulation systems, vapour barriers

Compressors, condensers, evaporators

Refrigerants and piping best practices

Electrical loads, safety systems, and grounding

Not a desk-only person. You prefer boots on the ground.

You can read drawings, question them, and fix what's wrong.

You know which local suppliers are good and which ones overpromise.

You take pride in doing things right the first time--especially sealing and insulation.

Comfortable working with a young startup figuring things out on the fly.
