About the Role:

Cogoport is currently looking for an individual who has the mindset of an entrepreneur, understanding of the culture, with a passion for sales to join our team as the new Senior Manager Sales (Channel Partners Market). This role will be based in Mumbai, and you will be responsible for managing a team of Portfolio Managers across the Western India.

As the Senior Manager Sales, you will be accountable for an annual booking/revenue quota/budget with significant growth in subsequent years. In this position, you will be responsible for driving overall growth in our regional market with overall sales leadership responsibilities for the business in both Ocean & Air freight.

Responsibilities:

This role has following responsibilities :

- Local market knowledge.

- Go to Market Sales Model - Leading /coaching teams through transformation with Account Planning/Opportunity Identification, Business Relevant / Customer Value Selling and Business Disciplines.

- Financial Performance - Exceeding booking goals (by geography, products, and services), profitability, and maintaining forecast accuracy; providing in depth knowledge into numbers (customer insights, macro/micro trends, consumption models)

- Team Development - Developing and retaining high performance Account Team talent (career development, coaching, performance management and hiring).

- Building a Winning Capability and Leading Change - Strategically leading and influencing his own team along with an integrated cross-functional teams, Services, Operation, Finance, Marketing, and others.

- As the Senior Manager Sales, you will strategically drive organization's end-to-end vision for our customers, as well as maintain an in-depth understanding of competitive conditions, industry practices, market opportunities, and customer requirements.

- You will motivate, inspire, and continually develop your team and channel partners while taking on new competitors as organization continues to gain market share. You will need a strong background in executive-level communication with experience building customer and partner relationships, and territory planning and segmentation.

- You will need to possess both the sales skills and industry knowledge to make sales pitch and lead customer discussions to advance the sales process. This role involves positioning and promoting the partner value proposition, leading sales specialists in the development and expansion of opportunities, and reinforcing existing relationships.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's/PG degree in business or any other field

- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

- At least 10+ years sales experience in Freight Forwarding

- Existing customer base of Freight Forwarders/CHAs

- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills

- Strong customer focus and analytical skills

- 4-5 years of experience in Team handling
