COBOL Mainframe lead candidate with 8- 10 years of experience
Role and Responsibilities
- Work with your direct team members and stakeholders to ensure that business requirements are clearly defined, and that solutions adhere to best practices
- Managing and developing Mainframe Applications.
- Maintain strong awareness of software engineering and delivery practices.
- Bringing your expertise to solve the application criticality.
- Manages the technical rollout and post-deliverable technical strategy
- In partnership with the other technical lead and architects, sets direction for all aspects of technology practice.
- Responsible for working with Project manager to set and review overall quality of deliverables.
- Self-motivated problem solver who actively participates in solution development.
- Effective in communications management to ensure risks/dependencies/delays are escalated through appropriate channels
- Clearly communicate all application changes to business, technical and functional teams.
- Partners with project managers and developers to successfully manage these client relationships.
- Exposure using CICS, COBOL, JCL, VSAM, MVS, REXX and DB skills in Mainframe environment.
- Experience on working with Mainframe related tools - Expeditor, CA7, Abend Aid and change management tools such as Topaz
- Experience/familiarity with networking technology (TCP/IP), domain name system (DNS), FTP, NDM, CD Connect and other network services
- Creative problem-solving skills and excellent troubleshooting / debugging skills.
- Must have functional experience in Core Banking system
