Perform CO? welding on sheet metal and structural components
Read and interpret fabrication drawings, welding symbols & work instructions
Weld components using appropriate welding parameters, fixtures & jigs
Inspect welds for accuracy, defects, spatter, penetration & finish
Operate grinders, cutting machines, and other fabrication tools as needed
Maintain cleanliness of weld surfaces before & after welding
Follow WPS (Welding Procedure Specification) & quality checkpoints
Ensure adherence to safety rules, PPE usage & fire safety standards
Identify process issues and escalate to supervisor for corrections
Perform minor rework/weld repairs based on QC feedback
Achieve daily production targets with optimum productivity
Support continuous improvement & 5S activities at workplace
Skills & Competencies
? Proficiency in CO? (GMAW/MIG) welding - sheet metal fabrication
? Knowledge of different welding positions (Flat, Horizontal, Vertical)
? Basic understanding of materials (CRCA, MS, SS)
? Ability to use measuring tools - Vernier, Welding gauge, Tape
? Knowledge of heat & distortion control techniques
? Good teamwork and shop floor discipline
Physical & Safety Requirements
Physically fit to lift and handle welded parts
Must wear safety PPE (gloves, apron, helmet, shoes, etc.)
Awareness of welding fumes, burns, and arc-flash hazards
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
