Job Summary

The CNC/VMC Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day machining operations, ensuring production targets are achieved, machines run efficiently, and quality standards are maintained. The role includes supervising operators, planning jobs, coordinating with QA & maintenance teams, and ensuring smooth production flow.

Key Responsibilities1. Production Planning & Execution

Plan and allocate daily machining jobs on CNC/VMC machines. Ensure production targets, cycle times, and delivery schedules are met. Monitor machine utilization and reduce idle time.

2. Team Supervision

Supervise CNC/VMC operators and setters. Provide guidance on program understanding, tool usage, and machining parameters. Maintain discipline, attendance, and shift management.

3. Machine & Process Monitoring

Ensure proper machine setup, tool selection, offsets, and fixture settings. Monitor machining operations to ensure accuracy and repeatability. Implement process improvements to reduce cycle time and scrap.

4. Quality Compliance

Ensure components are produced as per drawings and quality standards. Coordinate with QA team to resolve dimensional issues or rejections. Maintain documentation for in-process inspection.

5. Maintenance Coordination

Coordinate with maintenance team for preventive and breakdown maintenance. Ensure machines are kept clean, calibrated, and in good working condition.

6. Safety & 5S

Enforce safety rules and PPE usage in the machining area. Maintain 5S practices--cleanliness, tool management, and organized workstations.

7. Reporting & Documentation

Maintain daily production reports, job cards, rejection records, and tool usage logs. Report production delays, breakdowns, and manpower issues to management.

Required Skills & Qualifications

ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or relevant field. 3-5 years of experience in CNC/VMC machining operations and supervision. Knowledge of CNC programming (Fanuc / Siemens / Haas preferred). Strong understanding of cutting tools, machining parameters, and GD&T. Ability to read engineering drawings. Leadership and team-handling skills. Basic knowledge of MS Office, production reporting, and ERP (optional).

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
