Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled

CNC Turning Center Setter

with hands-on experience in setting up and operating CNC turning machines. The candidate should be capable of independently handling job setups, tool setting, and ensuring dimensional accuracy as per the engineering drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up CNC Turning Centers as per the operation sheet and drawing requirements Load programs and adjust offsets as required for dimensional accuracy Select and set cutting tools, tool offsets, and cutting parameters Carry out component clamping and alignment using appropriate fixtures and chucks Conduct first-piece inspection and ensure approval before running production Monitor and adjust cutting conditions to optimize productivity and tool life Perform minor troubleshooting on machines, tools, and program issues Coordinate with the Quality team for in-process inspection and corrective actions Ensure machine cleanliness and follow preventive maintenance schedules Complete daily production reports and logbook entries accurately

Requirements:

ITI / Diploma in Mechanical / Tool & Die / Production Engineering 2-5 years of experience in setting CNC Turning Centers (Fanuc / Siemens / Mitsubishi controls preferred) Strong knowledge in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T symbols Proficient in using measuring instruments (Micrometer, Vernier, Dial Bore Gauge, etc.) Good understanding of tooling, insert geometry, speeds and feeds for turning operations Ability to maintain tight tolerances and surface finish as per drawing Basic understanding of G-code & M-code

Preferred Skills:

Experience in setting up multi-tool turret machines Exposure to machining of steel, cast iron, or non-ferrous materials Familiarity with batch production and first-off approvals Team-oriented with good communication and problem-solving skills
