CNC Lathe Machine Operator

Job Summary:

The CNC Lathe Machine Operator will be responsible for operating, setting, and programming CNC Lathe machines to produce high-quality precision components as per drawing and production requirements. The role demands strong technical knowledge of CNC machine operations, tool setting, offsets, and understanding of FANUC controllers.

Key Responsibilities:

Machine Operation & Setup:

Operate and set up CNC Lathe machines (SUGNIMI, BFW make). Load and unload workpieces, fixtures, and tools as per job requirements. Prepare and adjust machine tools and offsets to achieve desired accuracy.

Programming & Parameter Setting:

Create or modify CNC programs using

FANUC controller

. Input and edit offsets, tool lengths, and coordinates accurately. Ensure optimal machining parameters for efficiency and tool life.

Quality Control:

Measure finished components using vernier, micrometer, and other precision instruments. Ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish as per drawing. Maintain first-piece inspection and periodic checks during production.

Maintenance & Safety:

Conduct daily machine cleaning and minor preventive maintenance. Report mechanical or programming issues to the Maintenance or Production Engineer. Follow all safety and housekeeping standards within the machine shop.

Documentation & Reporting:

Record daily production, tool usage, and downtime data. Support production planning and material movement activities. Coordinate with supervisors for job priorities and production targets.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

ITI (Turner / Machinist / CNC Operator) or equivalent technical qualification.

Experience:

Minimum

2-5 years

of hands-on experience in CNC Lathe operation.

Machine Knowledge:

SUGNIMI, BFW CNC Lathe machines.

Controller Knowledge:

FANUC system.

Skills Required:

Tool setting and offset adjustments. Basic CNC programming and editing. Understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances. Knowledge of measuring instruments and gauges. Basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance skills.

Pay: ₹10,084.37 - ₹29,177.49 per month
